Anthony Miler

Anthony Miler was born in Toledo, OH in 1982 and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. Miler received his MFA in painting from the City College of New York, CUNY in 2008, and studied in the UK at the Central College Abroad and the London Metropolitan University in 2004. Miler's practice reimagines time, space, and spirit through the biomorphic nature of the subjects and their subtle breakdown. Miler approaches these paintings as an inquiry. His practice builds meaning through visual dialogue—space interrupted by line, volume challenged by silhouette.

Solo exhibitions: Untitled Miami Beach  (2022), 9 Paintings in a Room (New York 2019)

Group exhibitions: New Mid-Century Modernism (Nashville 2022), ZieherSmith & Friends (Nashville 2020), Hope Despite the Times (New York, 2013)
